Motorcyclist injured in US-23 crash

A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a crash on US-23.

Green Oak Township Police Department say they received a report Thursday afternoon of an injury crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on northbound US-23 and Nine Mile Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet when they were thrown from the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, who witnesses say appeared to have suffered head trauma, was transported to U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor for treatment. The other driver was not injured. The road was partially closed from about 6 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.

Green Oak Township Police were assisted with the crash investigation by the Livingston County Major Crash Team as well as at the scene by the Green Oak Township Fire Department, Livingston County Ambulance, Michigan Department of Transportation, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, and Livingston County Central Dispatch.
