A car and motorbike accident on Sunday turned the road into a parking lot due to the unusually heavy traffic backup.
As to the California Highway Patrol, the collision halted traffic heading westward at approximately 1:45 p.m.
The incident was captured by a Caltrans tower camera.
After the accident just before Treasure Island, most lanes were closed for over an hour.
A vehicle and a motorbike, each carrying an individual, collided, according to the CHP.

It was necessary to transport one motorcyclist to the nearest hospital.
Travel into the city was somewhat delayed, although it eventually resumed just before 3 p.m.
