A troubling scenario occurred in Miami-Dade in Tamiami Park when Beatriz Milagros Aguero, 61, was taken into custody for dragging her dog outside of her car.
As per NBC Miami, witnesses called the police many times before reporting the event. Aguero, who is known to be homeless, reportedly lost her temper when police contacted her and claimed she was attempting to “dry” the dog because it was “covered in s***.”
Aguero grew “irate,” telling the cops that the animal needed to be let outside since it had soiled itself, as reported in a Local 10 report. This all happened at the park on Southwest 24th Street at around 10:45 a.m. Aguero was earlier seen by witnesses striking her dog in the park restrooms before hurriedly leaving while the dog struggled to keep up with the car.
After Aguero was arrested by the police, officials from Miami-Dade Animal Services took control of the injured dog for safekeeping. She was accused of intentionally hurting or killing animals.

Aguero’s violent behavior persisted during the jail booking process, leading to an additional penalty for biting a corrections officer. Both news sources have verified the details of the accusations.
Aguero appeared in court with a public defender and was given a $10,000 bond, while Local 10 reported the amount to be $5,000.
An onlooker who was trying to stop the car recorded the Tamiami Park event on camera with their cellphone; this footage was featured in the Local 10 report.
