San DIEGO, CA (MJP) —
On Sunday, one of the largest flooring retailers in the US announced the closing of dozens of stores, including ones in San Diego County, and filed for bankruptcy.
In its Chapter 11 petition, LL Flooring announced the nationwide closure of ninety-four stores. Santee and South Bay San Diego will both see the closure of LL Flooring locations inside the county.
The wisest course of action for the Company, after extensive efforts to improve our liquidity position in a difficult macro environment, was decided to initiate this Chapter 11 procedure,” stated Charles Tyson, President and Chief Executive Officer of LL Flooring.
There will be liquidation sales at both the San Diego and Santee locations of LL Flooring in the days leading up to the stores’ closures.
Stores in San Marcos and Miramar will continue to be operated by LL Flooring.
Keeping our loyal customers and collaborating closely with our suppliers and partners are our top priorities as we go through this process.
