A guy from Bartlesville has entered a guilty plea for his involvement in the murder of his girlfriend’s adoptive grandparents.

Wednesday was the day that Lucas Walker, who is 21 years old, entered a guilty plea to two counts of murder in the second degree. In January of 2023, the bodies of Larry and Deborah Dutton were discovered buried in their own backyard. Walker was charged with the murders connected to their deaths.

Heidi Dutton, the couple’s adopted granddaughter, who was 17 years old at the time of the incident, is also charged as an adult in the case. She is accused of two charges of first-degree murder, two counts of desecration of a corpse, and conspiracy.

Her trial before a jury is scheduled to take place in June.
