While over 1,500 filled backpacks have been distributed by the Livingston Educational Service Agency (LESA) as part of its 22nd Annual Backpacks for Kids last month, organizer say the need appears to be higher this year and they are looking for additional school supply donations in order to meet this need.
This event is made possible through the generous donations of community members and LESA is asking those same community members to please consider donating backpacks and/or school supplies so they can continue filling them for Livingston County children.
“We welcome school supply and backpack donations for the families who still need assistance,” said a release from the organization. “You may drop off the donations at the Livingston ESA’s Education Center, located at 1425 West Grand River Avenue, Howell, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.”
