The 2025 COLA increase for SNAP will come into effect on October 1, 2024. Therefore, Food Stamp recipients will receive their extra money if they live in the 48 contiguous States, Alaska, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia.

Bear in mind that not all Food Stamp recipients qualify for the maximum amounts. This is because you may have other sources of income. If you get SSI, or Social Security or you work, your benefits get a reduction. What is more, this is a supplement and does not intend to fund 100% of the money you need for food.
