A longtime educator has been honored for her service to Hartland Consolidated Schools.
Michele Young, a 2nd grade teacher at Lakes Elementary, has been named the 2023 Hartland Consolidated Schools Teacher of the Year. Young has been teaching in the district for 32 years, 31 of them at Lakes.
“She is an amazing teacher for ALL of her students, a tremendous team player, and a leader in the building who is always working with others to make Lakes better,” said Lakes Principal, Anthony Howerton.
Laura Moore, HEA President added, “Michele is dedicated to her students and colleagues and speaks volumes for our profession in her actions every single day.”
