KCSO Arrests Suspect After 16 Stolen Vehicles Found in Rosamond

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (MJP) —

Detectives with the Kern County County Sheriff’s Office recovered 16 stolen vehicles, 2 of which were reported stolen out of Arizona, and arrested one man in connection to the thefts in Rosamond.

Detectives investigated a stolen tractor near Stockdale Highway and Enos Lane on Aug. 28. Detectives obtained video and identified the suspect involved as Christopher Zuber, 43, of Helendale, Calif .Bena Landfill reopens in Kern County

Zuber was allegedly involved in multiple equipment thefts in Kern County, according to KCSO.

The investigation led detectives to 62nd Street West and Sweetser Road in the Rosamond area on Sept. 10.

A search warrant was obtained and executed.

Detectives found the missing tractor from Stockdale Highway and Enos Lane and one stolen John Deere tractor, which was reported missing out of Arizona and a travel trailer reported missing out of Arizona.

One other tractor was found along with an industrial forklift, five stolen trailers, a stolen semi-truck, a stolen Chevrolet truck, a Yamaha quad, and a stolen light tower, according to KCSO.

Zuber was arrested and booked at the Kern County Jail on suspicion of grand theft auto, owning and operating a chop shop, and other related charges.
