The Howell Parks Director was honored by the Michigan Recreation and Park Association at their annual awards, which were presented last week as part of the 2023 mParks Conference & Trade Show at the Lansing Center.
Howell Parks & Recreation Executive Director Tim Church was the recipient of the Commitment to Excellence Award, presented annually to an individual who has proven to be an advocate for parks and recreation and has shown continuous support for parks.
In response, Church posted that he was “honestly shocked” as the award was a complete surprise.
“I am incredily grateful for my former CMU professor and current mParks president Lori Anne Irwin for selecting me for the award and it was such an honor to have my first supervisor Jeff Muck (even though he’s a bronco) hand this award to me,” said Church. “There are so many amazing colleagues committed to excellence it is such a honor and privelldge to work with all of you!!”
