A Hamburg Township woman has been arraigned on felony charges after authorities say she tried to rob her own mother.
35-year-old Sally Sharp is charged with one count of armed robbery, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of interfering with electronic communications for the June 13th incident.
Pinckney Police say they were dispatched to a bank in the Village on a report from the employees that an older female in the drive-thru lanes passed a note saying, “Help me Call 911.” That woman turned out to be Sharp’s mother. Sharp, who was the lone passenger in the vehicle, was placed under arrest after being interviewed by officers. Her mother was unharmed during the incident, which police say began in Hamburg Township at the victim’s residence.
Sharp remains jailed on a $250,000 cash bond pending a June 27 probable cause conference in front of 53rd District Court Judge Shauna Murphy.
