Grand River resurfacing project starts up Monday in Brighton

Drivers through Brighton can expect delays and traffic interruptions as the Grand River Resurfacing Project gets underway on Monday, April 3, with intermittent lane closures occurring from Cross Street to North Street for the next month.

Also, the right lane of north/westbound Grand River will be closed on Monday, April 3 near O’Doherty and Kissane from 7 am to 5 pm. Traffic delays should be expected. This phase will include the removal and replacement of various curbs, sidewalks, and driveway approaches.

The second phase of the project will be the resurfacing of Grand River from Cross to the city limits at Appian Way. This work will occur in the overnight hours. City officials say they will provide an update on that phase once the details are known.

Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to contact the city at dps@brightoncity.org or call 1-810-225-8001.
