An upcoming construction project will impact traffic in the Fowlerville area through most of June.
Starting on Wednesday, June 7th and lasting through Wednesday, June 28th, a road rehabilitation project will close the Fowlerville Road/I-96 overpass in Handy Township to through traffic as well as both of the eastbound I-96 ramps.
The detour for the eastbound I-96 on ramp is Van Buren Road to Nicholson Road to Grand River to Burkhart Road. Drivers wishing to exit eastbound I-96 are advised to instead get off the freeway at Exit 122 for Stockbridge/Webberville and proceed east on Grand River.
Access to businesses along the closed portion of Fowlerville Road will be maintained to and from the south.
The Livingston County Road Commission advises that, as always, the project’s timeline is dependent on the weather.
