Former WR Agiye Hall from Texas and Alabama Pleads No Contest to Drug Trafficking

Alabama wide receiver Agiye Hall, a former Texas Longhorn, pleaded not guilty to first-degree felony drug trafficking charges, according to AL.com. The charges originated from an incident that occurred in Florida in July 2023.

The Orlando airport allegedly found Hall with 40.3 pounds of marijuana in 31 vacuum-sealed containers. His arrest came on December 4th of last year.

Hall was bonded out for $500,000 after his arrest. His lawyers subsequently moved to lower that sum.

Monday was Hall’s initially planned court appearance to commence his trial. The trial was postponed following Hall’s plea, and he was instead given a sentence of 18 months of monitored probation.

As part of his probation, Hall is required to maintain his college enrollment and attend counseling sessions at least once every two weeks.

Hall played in seven games for the Crimson Tide in 2021 and had four receptions for 72 yards. Before Hall entered into the gateway, former Alabama coach Nick Saban suspended him for violating team rules later in the offseason.

But Hall’s time at Texas was brief. He left the Longhorns in 2022 following his arrest and booking into the Travis County Jail in August of that year on accusations of criminal mischief. After three games with a single grab for seven yards, the club suspended him indefinitely.

He had intended to sit out this season at UCF. Nevertheless, he has reportedly not joined the squad.
