In April 2022, Boggs and a companion found themselves cruising through Pennsylvania when their vehicle suddenly malfunctioned, leaving them stranded on the roadside.

Stealey mentioned that when they returned to their vehicle to retrieve their phones, the distracted driver collided with them and struck them. It has been a transformative experience. It is a situation that we wish no family would ever have to experience. The main motivation behind the creation of Haley’s Light was this.
Haley’s Light is a non-profit group dedicated to spreading knowledge about road safety and offering vital guidance on handling the difficult scenario of a vehicle breaking down. The objective is evident: to prevent other families from experiencing the sorrow and suffering caused by accidents by equipping them with information and resources.
Stealey expressed her desire for there to be significance in the fact that she often prioritized others over herself.
They collaborated to devise a resolution aimed at aiding drivers in ensuring their safety in case they find themselves stranded on the roadside: a unique magnetic safety light that drivers can affix to their vehicles to enhance their visibility.

Stealey commented on Boggs’ accident, pointing out that the way the car had malfunctioned caused the hazard lights to be less conspicuous than they needed to be. It is common knowledge that in certain circumstances, the emergency lights may fail to function when the battery is dead. This is why we developed a product to address this issue.

Michelle Maikisch, executive director of CFX, expressed that this effective yet uncomplicated method can prompt individuals to yield to drivers stopped on the road at night. One method we can employ to enhance road safety for all travelers, whether they are on our roads or elsewhere, is by having our Road Rangers distribute these lights to drivers they are helping on the roadside.
To Stealey, receiving extra assistance on their journey is incredibly meaningful.
