A historic structure in northern Oakland County suffered extensive damage Tuesday after a blaze ripped through the structure.

A six-alarm fire at the Holly Hotel reportedly began at the neighboring Battle Alley Arcade Antiques Mall around 4 p.m. and the spread to the hotel.
Holly Township Supervisor George Kullis told the Detroit Free Press that the arcade structure collapsed, while the hotel’s roof sustained fire and water damage.
Fire departments from across the area responded, including firefighters from Troy and Oxford as well as Brandon and Groveland townships.
While there were no reported civilian injuries, some firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.
The hotel, which has been around since the late 1800s, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
