Howell Police have confirmed that the body of a missing Howell woman has been found.
Authorities had asked for the public’s help to locate 59-year-old Kelly Michele Dorsey, who was last seen by her family at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday September 4th at her residence off North State St. in downtown Howell.
However, her daughter, Destiny Dorsey posted to Facebook early Friday that the search had been called off.
“Unfortunately, we found my mom Kelly Dorsey this morning,” posted Destiny Dorsey. “She is no longer with us.”
Later Friday, the Howell Police Department reported that at approximately 8:35 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to a city residence.
Inside, they located the body of Dorsey, who had been missing since she was last seen by her family at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday September 4th at her residence off North State St. in downtown Howell.
The Howell Police Department, assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, says it is currently investigating the cause of death, and awaiting autopsy results.
