It is the first Kirkland affordable housing neighborhood to use funds from the “Amazon Housing Equity Fund,” according to city authorities.
In January 2021, Amazon established the $2 billion Housing Equity Fund to build and maintain affordable housing in the Puget Sound area.
With the addition of $1.4 billion in June, Amazon raised almost $3.6 billion.
