A well-known individual has joined the staff at La Marque High School as an assistant head football coach.
After being named to the staff, Clarence Ward returns to the Cougars after being named All-State during the 2003 state-run to the Class 4A, Division II championship. While at UTEP, Ward was a member of the track team and will now coach them.
In addition to his roles as a coach and inclusion teacher, Traylon Stewart has joined the program. The Coogs won the 4A, Division II state championship in 2006 with Stewart on the line.
