End The All Chapters! A Massive Nashville Restaurant Shut-Down Ends 40-Year Run

MJP –

After more than 40 years of service to residents and tourists of Music City, a restaurant that has become a fixture of Nashville’s dining scene will shortly close its doors.

According to WKRN, the cafeteria-style, family-owned Arnold’s Country Kitchen has been a Nashville mainstay for almost 40 years, offering the southern favorite “meat and three” platters to everyone who stopped by since Jack and Rose Arnold first opened the doors in 1982.

Rose and her son Kahlil Arnold are now running the restaurant, and it will be closing its doors for good at the end of this week.

Thanks to the restaurant’s website and Facebook page, the Arnold family was able to issue a statement that reflected on the 40-year “journey for our family, far beyond what we could have ever imagined.”

No amount of words could ever adequately express our appreciation for Nashville. “You are the reason we have worked so hard for so long; you are the reason we have built so many lasting friendships and connections within our community,” the statement continues. “Arnold’s is much more than running a restaurant; to us, it is hosting family every day.”

After expressing gratitude to the community for all of their help and encouragement over the last 40 years, the Arnold family has decided to “step away for some rest and to begin a new journey.”

We wish you the ability to smile when you think about our shared past. We sincerely want that Arnold’s in Nashville will have further success, so please do not interpret this as a permanent closure. But for the time being, we’re looking forward to an unknown future. All of this would not have been possible without you.

On Saturday, January 7, Arnold’s Country Kitchen will close its doors for good.
