Double Down! Sheriff's Bold Statement on Border Wall as He Supports Mother of Murder Victim

On Wednesday, the sheriff of Arizona informed House legislators that the idea of constructing a wall along the southern border involves a “racist component” unless a wall is also constructed over the border with Canada.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff David Hathaway addressed Rep. Bennie Thompson’s (D-MS) question about the economic benefits of immigration when testifying before the House Committee on Homeland Security regarding the current situation at the country’s borders.

“Indeed, they keep prices from rising as much. The United States is replete with help wanted signs. According to Hathaway, “the economy becomes more productive” as productivity is increased.

The need for a wall along the southern border with Mexico was subsequently brought up by Hathaway.

“I hate to use the ‘R’ word, but it’s the 800-pound gorilla in the room,” he pointed out. “Something about this is xenophobic. The northern border, which is shared with Canada, has never been considered for wall construction. Title 42 was never meant to be enforced rigorously along the Canadian border.

U.S. officials were authorized to refuse entry to migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border due to health concerns under Title 42, a policy put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic by the Trump administration.

“So, you know there is this kind of racist component to it that we kind of all ignore, but it’s there smoldering in the background,” Hathaway pointed out.

He made these comments while sitting next to Rachel Morin’s mother; Morin was allegedly murdered in Maryland last year by an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador.

A new report from a top house committee calls the Biden-Harr administration’s handling of the border crisis a “assault on the rule of law.”

Someone who had escaped from El Salvador and was an illegal immigrant was waiting for her on the trail. Senator Patty Morin testified before Congress that she had been informed that a woman had been abducted, dragged through the woods, raped, strangled, and executed.

Reports indicated that her body was covered in bruises. I can tell you that seeing her in the funeral home was the most graphic thing I’ve ever seen just by looking at her.

In response to the record-breaking influx of illegal immigrants into the United States, Republicans have criticized the border restrictions enacted by the Biden administration.

Hathaway was interrogated by Republican Florida Representative Carlos Gimenez, who scolded him for his alleged ties to the notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.

Rachel Morin is adorned in a California tank top and denim shorts.

“And you’re a sheriff?” Gimenez inquired. There isn’t a more dangerous gang emerging from Venezuela than that one. It will pass through your town.

Another point that the Cuban-American representative argued with Hathaway was that backing a wall along the border constitutes racism.

In my opinion, all immigration should be lawful. My position is that illegal immigration is wrong. Could it be that I do something racist? Before the sheriff reaffirmed his position for the border wall, Gimenez questioned.
