His first court appearance follows a day of charges against his father, Colin Gray, 54, who is facing multiple counts related to the shooting. One of the claims is that he reportedly gave the kid the gun used in the atrocity as a Christmas present last year.

Students at the Georgia school where the alleged shooting took place “ridiculed” and “gay” Colt Gray: father

It comes after officials initially visited the teen’s home a year ago, and since then, they have been frantically trying to piece together the purported purpose behind the massacre and any other warning signals.

Investigators say that in May of last year, authorities visited Gray after receiving indications that the kid had threatened to carry out a school shooting via social media.

A sheriff’s investigation said that the teen denied making the threat at the time.

Cops said his kid did not have access to the hunting firearms in the house, according to his father, who was also interviewed. At the time, the police asked the father to secure the weapons and suggested keeping Colt out of school “until this matter could be resolved.”

The sheriff’s report stated that the case was later shelved due to investigators being unable to make any arrests due to contradicting information regarding the origin of the social media post.

The Post has learned from law enforcement sources that, months after the police visited, Colt’s father allegedly gave him an assault rifle in the manner of the AR for Christmas.

Meanwhile, according to CNN reports from law enforcement, records outlining Gray’s suspected fixation with prior school shootings, including the 2018 Parkland massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, were found during a search of his home conducted in the aftermath of Wednesday’s massacre.

Details on the shooting that Gray either read or wrote about were not immediately apparent.

Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old, and two instructors, Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53, were all killed at the school, and Gray faces four counts of murder in connection with their murders.
