The Salvation Army of Livingston County donations for the annual Red Kettle campaign are down this year but there is still time to donate.
As of Saturday, December 24, the organization is more than $30,000 away from their kettle goal of $190,000 and $157,000 away from the overall Christmas goal of $395,000.
Each Christmas season the Salvation Army of Livingston County places their red kettles at stores all over Livingston County. The Salvation Army Bell Ringers collect donations to support its year round service programs.
Lt. Robert and Stephanie Leach of the Livingston County Salvation Army says he has faith in the community’s generosity and ability to respond when it is aware of what is needed.
“Livingston County has a track record of helping their community when in need” says Robert Leach “The funds collected at Christmas are needed to meet needs all year. I would encourage those who can give to give generously,” added Stephanie Leach.
Although Saturday the 24th is the last day ringing bells, the Red Kettle Campaign will run through Saturday, December 31, 2022.
