After six months of preparation, Livingston County will launch their new website, www.milivcounty.gov, this Friday, June 23rd.
Officials say the redesigned site features easy to navigate pages with a fresh look and feel, while the new .gov domain signals to visitors that the website is owned by an official government organization.
To make the transition to the new www.milivcounty.gov domain easier, residents can still use the County’s current domain, www.livgov.com, as it will forward them to the new site.
According to a press release, when the County started the process of updating their website in December 2022, they had over 1,200 webpages for their 39 departments. They say the reorganization of content significantly reduced the County’s page load. The new site features 600 pages that officials say conveniently link to related content and helpful documents, or organize information in an easily understandable format.
Once the new site is up and running, anyone who comes across an issue or would like to provide feedback, is asked to utilize the “Was This Page Helpful” widget on the bottom of every page, or the “Website Feedback” link found in the site’s footer.
