A cat named Tiny gave his owner and rescuers quite an adventure in Cordele, Georgia, when he got stuck in a tree for four days.
The rescue mission was a community effort, bringing together multiple departments to ensure the little feline’s safety.
It all started when Tiny’s owner contacted the Friends of Cordele Animal Shelter on Sunday. She was worried because Tiny had been stuck in a tree since Saturday and wouldn’t come down.
Animal control was the first to step in. They tried several times to get Tiny down, but the cat remained firmly in place.
By Tuesday, the Cordele Fire Department joined the effort. They climbed and prodded, hoping to convince Tiny to climb down. But Tiny only moved slightly before settling back into his spot.
On Wednesday morning, the Cordele County Power Commission joined the mission. Using their equipment, they carefully poked at Tiny to encourage him to move. Finally, after some effort, Tiny was safely brought down from the tree.
The Friends of Cordele Animal Shelter shared the good news on Facebook, saying, “Tiny is a little tired from his adventure but he is reunited with his owner!
Hopefully, he won’t be climbing any more trees anytime soon!”
This heartwarming rescue highlights the power of teamwork and community spirit.
Everyone involved worked together to ensure Tiny made it back to his owner safe and sound. Now, Tiny can rest comfortably, and his owner can breathe a sigh of relief.
Tiny’s story is a reminder of the lengths people will go to help animals in need. Whether it’s firefighters, animal control, or the local power commission, every effort counts when it comes to saving lives, no matter how small.
