Construction is completed on a pedestrian bridge in Hamburg Township.
The repairs on the Hay Creek Bridge began in March after panels to repair decking were delivered and a small detour went into place through a nearby subdivision.
The 104-foot bridge along the Lakelands Trail near Chambers Road dates from the 19th century when it was built by the Ann Arbor Railroad.
This project was made possible by grants from the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, along with matching funding from Hamburg Township.
A ribbon cutting announcement is expected soon.
