The Colonial era will come alive at a two-day event later this month.
Colonial Kensington will take place on Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14 at Kensington Metropark featuring historically-dressed reenactors portraying civilian and military life of the Colonial era.
The public will be entertained with music and dramatizations, witness the firing of muskets and canons, purchase hand crafted items and take a horse-drawn hayride to the Kensington Living History Village, located in the middle of the event.
Formations will begin at 10am with drilling at 11am. A kids’ drill with wooden muskets will be at 1 p.m. followed by a Colonial fashion show at 2 p.m., with the afternoon battle capping off the day at 3 p.m.
