Cleary University has announced the hiring of a new senior administrative officer.
Cleary President, Dr. Alan Drimmer, has announced that effective immediately, Douglas Stein, PhD, CPA, CMA, CGMA, has been named the new Provost and Executive Vice President of Cleary. He replaced Emily Barnes, who recently left for a similar position with Siena Heights University in Adrian.

As the university’s Provost, Stein will provide leadership and guidance over the academic curriculum, retention, university policies and procedures, and accreditation, which Drimmer days is “to ensure Cleary continues to improve its educational experience for students, faculty and staff. Dr. Stein embraces a student-centered approach to learning, and he believes in a culture of transparency, accountability and collaboration.”
“He is passionate about encouraging and supporting students in their educational goals toward lifelong personal and professional success,” added Drimmer. “His track record of student achievement and retention, as well as new program development and quality assurance, is the right fit for Cleary.”
Dr. Stein has held leadership positions in senior academic affairs and academic operations at several higher education institutions including Colorado Technical University; South University in Savannah, Georgia; and Cardean University in Chicago, Illinois.

As Provost and Executive Vice President of Cleary University, Dr. Stein will report directly to Dr. Drimmer.
