Cleary fundraiser features special musical event

A scholarship fundraising event is set next month with a reimagined form.

Cleary University’s 7th Annual Vehicle to a Better Future will take place Thursday, June 16th from 6 to 10 p.m. on the school’s Genoa Township campus. It’s being billed as the “BIGGEST LIVE MUSICAL CONCERT EVENT in CLEARY’S 140-YEAR HISTORY” featuring Whiskey Fixx with special local guest Stephen Keener.

Inspired by a theme of Cars, Cocktails, and Cuisine, participants will enjoy the culinary skills of chefs and CEOs and vote for the winner of the coveted Cleary Culinary Cup toward raising support for student scholarships. There will also be a chance to win a full four-year tuition scholarship to Cleary University valued at nearly $100,000.

The night will conclude with a signature Balloon Glow Finale in partnership with the Howell Chamber of Commerce to build excitement for Howell’s 37th Annual Michigan Balloonfest Challenge on June 24, 25, and 26th at Howell Public Schools.

Last year’s event, which returned after a pandemic hiatus in 2020, raised $120,450 for student scholarships. This year’s goal is $150,000.
