Members of the 2023 Class of the Brighton Area Women’s History Roll of Honor will be officially honored this weekend.
Set for Saturday, August 12th from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Brighton District Library, the ceremony will mark the official induction of best-selling author Colleen Gleason, civil rights advocate Thelma Lett, educator LuAnn Loy, inclusiveness advocate Anne Richardson, and businesswoman and community volunteer Jane Jarvis Tomlinson, along with Sabrina Nauss and Genevieve Urbain for their Outstanding Historical Accomplishments by Young Women.
Founded in 2003, the Roll of Honor recognizes individual women of the greater Brighton area who have made a remarkable or unique contribution or have achieved an accomplishment in the greater Brighton community, the state of Michigan, the nation, or the world.
