BAKERSFIELD, Calif.— Two people are dead after a vehicle was pinned under a semi-truck on California City Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the California City Police Department say the crash was reported around 4:40 p.m. in the 9500 block of California City Boulevard near Hacienda Boulevard.
When police arrived, a Subaru Outback was pinned under the semi-truck’s trailer. Medical personnel confirmed two adults were dead upon their arrival.

Investigation showed, the semi-truck was backing into the parking lot of the Family Dollar, which is located at 9567 California City Boulevard to make deliveries.
The Subaru then collided with the semi-truck’s trailer.
Police say drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
