Cache of Drugs Discovered in U-Haul: Woman Arrested in Tennessee after Traffic Stop Check

After a traffic stop in Putnam County on Monday led to the discovery of a large quantity of drugs, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has announced that a lady is currently facing many charges related to the possession of illegal substances.

It was reported by the PCSO that deputies pulled over a U-Haul vehicle in the county around Exit 290. The driver was Melinda Sharma, who is wanted for a crime in another county and has warrants open against her.

During the search of the truck, the deputies detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During the search, they found approximately 18 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 20 grams of suspected marijuana, approximately seven grams of a brown powder substance, approximately 12 doses of suspected LSD, as well as cash and drug paraphernalia.

In addition to being charged with simple possession and possession of drug accessories, Sharma is also accused of manufacturing, selling, and delivering methamphetamine. A bond of $17,000 has been posted for her, and she is scheduled to appear in court on July 22.
