A Livingston County woman was hospitalized following a crash last week in West Michigan.
Michigan State Police from the Lakeview Post report that they responded to a two-vehicle crash on Friday, October 21, 2022, at approximately 11:30am on US-127 near Harrison Rd. in Gratiot County.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by an 18-year-old female from Wyandotte was traveling southbound on US-127 when it crossed the grass median and entered the northbound lanes of US-127 striking a northbound 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by a 65-year-old female from Brighton.
The Wyandotte woman suffered serious injuries and was transported by life flight to a local hospital for treatment. The Brighton woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition remains unknown.
The crash remains under investigation. Troopers were assisted by the Ithaca Fire Department, MMR, Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office, Gratiot County Central Dispatch, and the Michigan State Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
