Brighton MSP, LCSO to take part in National Drug Take Back Day

Livingston County residents with expired or unneeded prescription medications in their medicine cabinet will have an opportunity this weekend to get rid of them.

Twice a year, the Drug Enforcement Administration hold a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, with the first one this year set for Saturday, April 30.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can visit any Michigan State Police post, including the Brighton Post, to safely discard of expired, unused and unwanted pills. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office will also be participating.

Officials note that no liquids, inhalers, patches or syringes will be accepted.
