Brighton City Manager candidates narrowed to three finalists

The search for a new city manager for Brighton is now down to three finalists.

Following the resignation earlier this year of Nate Geinzer, 38 candidates applied to replace him. That pool has now been narrowed down to three; Genoa Township Manager Mike Archinal, Gretchen Gomolka,  who serves as Brighton’s Finance Director, and is also currently the Acting City Manager, and Cedar Springs City Manager Michael Womack.

A “Meet and Greet” event for the public to get a chance to interact with the finalists will be held Monday, July 18, 2022, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall 200 N. 1st Street, Brighton.

They will then be interviewed by the council beginning at 5 p.m.

City Council expects to make a recommendation and begin contract negotiations directly after the interviews.
