A man from Fishkill, New York, has been arrested after Dutchess County authorities discovered drugs and a weapon in his home.

Rahmel Garraway, 31, was taken into custody on December 20th after an investigation into drug sales in the area. He is now facing multiple serious charges.

The arrest followed an ongoing investigation by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. According to officials,

Garraway was allegedly selling narcotics from different locations in East Fishkill. On the day of his arrest, agents from the Drug Task Force, along with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, searched Garraway’s residence on Robinson Lane in East Fishkill.

During the search, authorities found a loaded firearm and two kilograms of suspected cocaine. Garraway was charged with several felonies, including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a violent class C felony.

He also faces charges for criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, a class B felony.

The investigation continues, with additional charges expected. Garraway was brought before the East Fishkill Justice Court for arraignment. He is now in custody at the Dutchess County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
