Bed Bath & Beyond will close five more stores in Michigan, including its location in Livingston County.
According to a list posted by the company, the Bed Bath & Beyond store in Brighton will soon close, along with locations in Ann Arbor, Auburn Hills, Lansing and Muskegon.
The closings follow a notice earlier this month from the Union, New Jersey-based retailer that it might need to file for bankruptcy as sales continue to fall. On Tuesday, the company said it will cut up to $100 million, including layoffs.
Once the Brighton location shuts its doors, the nearest Bed Bath & Beyond stores to Livingston County will be in either Novi or Okemos.
