Officials from California State Parks claimed that on Monday, the North Fork American River washed all three of them downstream, resulting in the deaths of a father and a teenage boy and the rescue of another youngster.
Before 5:30 p.m., emergency personnel were called to Lake Clementine Trail about a probable drowning.
Three persons tried to swim across the river but were carried downstream by the current, according to a California State Parks communications manager.
According to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, a 33-year-old man was discovered dead in the water.

According to officials, a 15-year-old boy was discovered, and Cal Fire and State Parks lifeguards conducted CPR on him.
After being admitted, he passed away at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.
Another male teenager was rescued from the water, according to state parks, and he was unharmed.
