At this summer’s Olympics in Paris, more than 40 competitors will be representing Austin. So far, the medal winners are:
Carson Foster
Foster has a Texas Longhorn tattoo on his ribs to show that he attended UT Austin from 2020 to 2024. His 400-meter individual medley timing of 4 minutes, 8.66 seconds was good enough for third place. (The Olympic record for the event is 4 minutes and 3.84 seconds, set by Michael Phelps.)
Hobson, Luke
Hobson won five NCAA Championships while a junior at the University of Texas in Austin.

Florida School Board Shows Support for Mom of Transgender Athlete
In the incredibly tight 200-meter freestyle event, he came out on top, earning a bronze medal. Sub-1:44.79, he crossed the finish line. Winning times were 1.44.72 and 1:44.74, respectively, for the first and second-place finishers.
Hiring Manager: Drew Kibler
Kibler, a 2022 UT Austin alumnus, won silver in the men’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 7:00.78, alongside Foster, Hobson, and Kieran Smith, a swimmer from Connecticut. At 6 minutes and 59.43 seconds, Great Britain won the gold medal.
