As more companies in Ohio issue warnings about impending job cuts, thousands of more layoffs have occurred without warning.
The most recent numbers from WARN indicate that over 2,000 Ohioans might lose their employment before the year is out.
If your company has more than 100 full-time employees, you are required by law to give at least 60 days’ notice before you lay off 50 or more people at one location.
An official record with Ohio’s Department of Job and Family Services must contain the notification.

Which Ohio businesses are laying off workers?
The following companies have recently updated their WARN notifications with the Ohio state government, forewarning of impending layoffs:
- As of October 20th, 92 jobs will be eliminated at P. Graham Dunn, Inc.
- Prior to November 30th, Kaleo Inc. will have eliminated five positions.
- Yelloh trades as Cygnus Home Service. Expected 92 layoffs by 11/22.
- Libra Corporation. forty-five layoffs announced by December 6th.
- Exhaust Systems from Faurecia! 60 jobs going by November 4th in Swissport. 213 layoffs expected by November 4th.
- Shops at Big Lots, Inc. eliminating 379 jobs by October 31st.
- The company known as ZF Active Safety US Inc. Cuts 235 jobs expected on November 1st.
- Gas for the air. This hospital, which is part of the Steward Health Care System, will be laying off 87 employees by October 31. 10/20 results in 168 layoffs.
- We are Steward Health Care. 10% reduction in 765 jobs.
- Northside Regional Medical Center-Steward Health Care System. Steward Health Care System-Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital will be laying off nine employees by October 20th. two positions were eliminated at the end of the month of October.
- Hasbro, Inc. October 15th will see the elimination of sixty-three jobs.
Global Medical Response announced 165 layoffs at Pitney Bowes Inc. on October 8th. On October 9th, 74 jobs were eliminated.

The most recent WARN statistics indicate that 2,454 people will be laid off in Ohio soon.
