Authorities in New York reacted to a 911 call from Columbia County regarding a man who was allegedly making his way through the county “with the intent to murder.”
New York’s Columbia County: Route 9 Arrest for Attempted Murder
The New York State Police have charged 41-year-old Andrew J. Case of West Seneca, New York, with a premeditated murder plot involving his “estranged wife’s romantic partner” and his intended destination in the lower Hudson Valley.
The Town of Greenport, New York is home to a popular tourist destination that has been infested with bed bugs. The case was discovered and apprehended on Route 9.
Attempts at first-degree murder (a class B felony), first-degree assault (a class C felony), first-degree criminal use of a firearm (a class C felony), and driving while intoxicated (a class A misdemeanor) were all leveled against the case.

RaidenV/Police claim that Case was intoxicated when he was taken into custody. His vehicle was searched by troopers, who allegedly discovered three shotguns.
He was found to be traveling to Westchester County with three shotguns, according to Trooper Aaron J. Hicks, who is the public information officer for Troop K, speaking to the Hudson Valley Post.
The case was remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail after being arraigned in the town of Claverack Court.
