Authorities in upstate New York reported that state troopers shot and killed a suspect who had crashed a stolen automobile after being involved in a stabbing incident at a Brooklyn laundromat.
Ali Ali, a male, was stabbed multiple times in the face and neck on Monday by a worker at a laundromat in the Bath Beach neighborhood, according to the police.
According to a news statement from the New York City police, which provided a photo of the assailant captured by surveillance, the victim was transported to a hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
According to the owner of the laundromat, who spoke with NBC New York, the robber was furious because his washing wasn’t done.
Authorities added that two days later, as state troopers were pursuing the same man, his stolen automobile crashed and caught fire on the New York State Thruway.

A trail camera in the Orange County hamlet of Highland Mills caught Ali as he fled on foot, according to a news release from the state police.
Ali was found in a heavily forested region, according to state police. According to the state police, Ali was killed after at least one trooper shot him during a dispute.
The inquiry has not concluded yet.
