A source states that last week, an elementary school in Illinois experienced a difficult situation when the principal got into a confrontation with an adult woman following the discovery of bags of cocaine on the ground. As a result, the police were called to the scene.
The event occurred at Welsh Elementary School in Rockford, approximately one hour outside of Chicago, at about 9:35 a.m. on September 11.
Arriving at the school for a prearranged appointment with the principal, Shakeda Barfield, 33, made it there. Bags of cocaine were reportedly falling from the woman’s clothing when the principal caught wind of it, as reported by WREX.
According to the source, Barfield attacked the school administrator after he took the luggage.
As the crisis intensified, school officials imposed a lockdown and alerted the emergency services.

The incident resulted in numerous non-life-threatening injuries to the administrator. Barfield is currently being held without jail time at the Winnebago County Jail after his arrest.
She faces charges of disorderly behavior, aggravated violence on a school staff, strangling, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Her court appearance is scheduled for Monday afternoon. Neither the reason for her meeting with the head of the school nor if Barfield had a child enrolled there at the moment of the event is known.
