Gas Prices Fall Across Florida Check Current Rates in Miami and Other Major Cities

The price of gas in Florida has fallen yet again.

Gallons of gas in the state have dropped in price by around 6 cents. as of the 16th of September. According to industry watchdog GasBuddy, prices in the Miami area have dropped 5 cents a gallon, which is 25 cents less than a month ago and 55 cents cheaper than a year ago.

“Gasoline prices continue to crumble across nearly the entire nation,” stated Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.

North Florida continues to have the lowest gas prices in the state, with certain locations seeing an average of less than $3 per gallon. Some areas in North Florida are even 25 cents cheaper than South Florida. Gas prices in Palm Beach County are among the highest in the state.

The cost of gas in the Sunshine State

The county of Miami-Dade Prices dropped 5.6 cents from last week to $3.10 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of roughly 1,700 stations in the region. Gas prices in the Miami area ranged from $2.59 at the lowest end to $4.66 at the highest.

The price in Fort Lauderdale is $3.12, as reported by AAA.

As per AAA, the cost is $3.27 in the West Palm Beach/Boca Raton area.

Patrick De Haan, GasBuddy’s chief of petroleum analysis: It appears likely that the national average will keep declining and reach $2.99 per gallon for the first time since 2021, thanks to the switch to winter gasoline that is taking place today at most stations across the nation.

Unfortunately, while prices are falling in almost every state, California has been hit hard by tight supply and rising costs due to refinery maintenance and outages. Here’s hoping this problem is fixed by the end of the month so that California can join the rest of the country in the reduction.
