In June 2012, Megabus, a budget bus company, started service in Texas.
If you’re in the Texas area, you can catch the company’s $1 fares in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Austin.
As of last Friday, they stopped providing service to and from those cities.
This is a major setback, says Mustafa Tameez of the Transportation Advocacy Group—Houston.
“We need transportation options that are affordable,” remarked the president. “Megabus was one of those affordable options that we don’t have available anymore.”
