Big-Breaking Harris Reportedly Choosing Gensler as Next Treasury Secretary

MJP –

Multiple sources have indicated that US Treasury Secretary nominee Gary Gensler is now being nominated by Kamala Harris. Gensler is currently the chair of the SEC.

If Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is elected, there is speculation in Washington that Gary Gensler, who is now the chair of the SEC, could be appointed secretary of the Treasury.

The Washington Reporter has learned from sources inside the Senate that Gensler may be planning to resign from his position, even though he has not made any public comments to that effect.

Not only that, but several Republicans have voiced their worries over the possible candidacy, including Representative Tom Emmer (R-Minn.).

The effectiveness of Gensler as SEC Chairman has been criticized by Emmer, who claims that Gensler should go because his “lawsuit-heavy approach” has not been effective.

Republican Senate personnel are ready to oppose Gensler’s nomination in unison if Harris is elected president.

Even though Republicans are against Gensler, he will most certainly have the backing of Democratic legislators.

The confirmation process could be heavily influenced by two influential personalities, Representatives Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) and Elissa Slotkin (D-Michigan), who have been heavily funded by the pro-cryptocurrency group Fairshake PAC.

Their position on Gensler’s appointment is unclear because both Gallego and Slotkin have opposed cryptocurrencies in the past while serving in Congress.

No one from either party has commented on the situation. But if Trump is elected president, he will fire Gary Gensler.
