In Louisville, Kentucky, USA — After abducting a woman from Kentucky and smuggling a juvenile across state lines, a guy from Texas will spend the next 35 years behind bars.
The first case allegedly started in November 2018, according to investigators.
Per the court records, An Ohio child was lured into a sexual encounter by 42-year-old Bryan Conley, who used the alias “Bryant” on an online dating page. Conley offered the Ohio kid money and property in exchange for sexual activities.
In Tennessee, the minor and Conley meet. Conley abducted the juvenile from her home in Tennessee and Kentucky, then brought her to Texas, where he subsequently abandoned her after stealing her phone and purse.
In January 2019, Conley persisted in his dishonesty by creating another online identity, this time pretending to be a modeling agency under the name “Lance Debeers.” Conversations about modeling were his hook with his victims.

As part of the modeling deal, documents state that Conley met the victim in Shepherdsville, where he allegedly stole her phone and gave her an unknown substance.
After he bound the girl, he demanded $20,000 in ransom from her family in Tennessee before driving through Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
According to the FBI, Conley made sexual and physical demands of the victim and threatened to hurt her if she did not comply.
Conley was eventually negotiated a $400 ransom and jewels with by the FBI under the guise of the woman’s family. They abandoned it in a bag from a McDonald’s in Oak Grove, Kentucky.
Conley was apprehended not long after retrieving the ransom. His car’s safe contained the woman.
Conley was placed on home imprisonment and released from custody some months after his arrest.
According to investigators, he took the gadget and ran away to Ohio. A federal jury found Conley guilty in December 2023 after an arrest and detention period that lasted until then.
The victims in this case were unaware that using an online dating service could lead to the kind of horrific abuse that this defendant inflicted upon them, according to Special Agent in Charge Michael Stansbury.

It serves as a crucial reminder to exercise extreme caution and vigilance when navigating the internet in our daily lives, to evade predators such as this defendant, who intend to cause harm to all of us.”
A 35-year prison term and 25 years of supervised release are part of Conley’s punishment. Along with bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, he was found guilty of interstate threats to ransom.
