In a Houston court on August 6, a distraught mother named Dahlia Mack swore at the lady who had lured her son to his death when he was a teenager.
“You anger me. Check me out! You frighten me. In a victim impact statement presented in court, Dahlia informed Keona Samireal Mouton—her son’s killer—that she should have been flushed instead of being born. This information was revealed by KHOU 11.
“Please, don’t weep. “Those shackles on your ankles, that’s Delindsey Mack,” the distraught mother remarked, while the rest of the Mack family remained silent, overcome with grief.
Her son, Delindsey, was a senior in high school who had just moved to a different school to avoid gang activities. He had a crush on Keona Mouton, a 16-year-old classmate. On November 13, 2018, Mouton convinced Delindsey, whose “soft” demeanor earned him the moniker “Baby Huey” among family friends, to meet her after school. On the contrary, he was brutally ambushed by two men after Mouton led him into it.
Delindsey was killed one month before he was to graduate from high school, according to his grandmother, who spoke to reporters.

The 22-year-old Mouton was found guilty and handed a 23-year prison term after being tried as an adult. Among the three murderers found guilty thus far, Delindsey’s family has witnessed each trial and conviction, according to KHOU11. A life sentence for his part in the murder of Mack was handed out in 2021 to infamous gang member Kendrick Johnson, who was the first to stand trial. Ogg identified Dave’on Thomas as the getaway driver, and in 2023, he was sentenced to 50 years in prison for his role in the fatal shot.
Delindsey, according to the prosecution, fostered an online persona befitting a mobster that belied her actual character. According to authorities, he was slain just feet away from his high school. Two feuding gangs in Houston had him in their sights because of his social media activities.

The murder of Delindsey Mack took place in a location where children should be protected, but Assistant District Attorney Sarah Seely pointed out that Keona Mouton had a hand in orchestrating the crime.
After completing half of her 23-year term, Mouton, who was tried as an adult, will be eligible for parole.
