When a boat broke loose on a highway in Texas, mayhem erupted.
The two most joyous occasions in a boat owner’s life, according to popular belief, are the purchase and sale of their vessel. I see why it might be the case, even if I’ve never had boat ownership.
However, I can’t help but wonder if the owner of the boat that came loose and careened down the highway is considering selling it.
On the other hand, perhaps they will take greater care to secure it the next time they plan to visit the lake.
The video below might be a powerful PSA for boat owners and anyone thinking about getting one, as it shows how that careless individual could have caused significant harm.

Think about the chaos that would have ensued if the boat had capsized in that area of heavy traffic. It might have been fatal and disgusting.

The only thing hurt was the boat, thankfully, because a sturdy road sign took off the canopy. I share the admiration of one of the commenters on the video for the sign’s incredible tenacity.
So, boat owners, take caution. Just in case you happen to glance up one day and witness the boat you were pulling whizzing past you.
