His mother, Yolanda Osborne-Kohn, refused to accept that prediction. “His organs would have been collected,” she mentioned. “My courage to stand up and assert myself, telling them ‘you won’t get a single toenail or eyelash,’ was fueled by my strong belief.”
For 244 days, the outlook appeared grim. After spending five months in the hospital, Kohn was moved back to his residence, where his mother took care of him attentively. One fateful day, the unimaginable occurred. “Sure thing, Mom, I’m perfectly fine.”

“Mom, you are cherished by me.” Kohn’s voice broke the silence as he stirred from his slumber. His tale revolved around persistence, faith, and incredible fortune.
Yolanda expressed her family’s gratitude for Brooks Rehab and the support received from social service workers, police officers, and many other community members who came together to help Drew. Drew would receive an extra seven years. Suddenly, a calamity occurred.

In the early hours of the morning on July 27, 2024, Kohn strolled along Collins Road. It was at that moment when a pickup truck collided with him, causing his death. Moreover, the driver failed to notice Kohn, prompting him to quickly dial 911.
When assistance finally reached the scene, it was already too tardy. Kohn was declared deceased upon arrival at the location. Amid a tragedy, Yolanda discovered a glimmer of hope shining through the darkness.
Yolanda mentioned that Drew had recovered, strolling effortlessly without any difficulty maintaining his stability. His arm is likely raised very high, expressing gratitude by exclaiming, “Thank you, Jesus!” Drew is likely holding a football in one hand and a Bible in the other.
“Drew adored God, and due to God’s benevolent character in granting my plea, I harbor no ill feelings towards my maker.” He presented me with a gift and then unexpectedly gifted me with seven additional years.
